Upgrades to roundabout in Sunset Beach

The City of Greater Geraldton wishes to advise safety improvements to the Chapman Road, Bosley Street, Chapman Valley Road roundabout to reduce the number of accidents at the intersections as part of the State Government’s Black Spot Program will commence on the 6 January 2025.

The works will consist of:

• Increasing the radius of the roundabout from 5m to 7m
• Modifications to bike and pram ramps
• Installation of new seal and asphalt

Detours will be in place during the works which will be staged with project completion scheduled for mid- February 2025.

The anticipated hours of work will be between 7amto 6 pm.

These works are part of the City’s 2024/25 Capital works Program.

Members of the community are requested to exercise caution and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City personnel and contractors.
