Mullewa Transfer Station

The Mullewa Transfer Station is located on Carnarvon-Mullewa Road.

This facility is free for residents to use and is open 24 hours.

This facility enables Mullewa and area residents to unloaded their unwanted items and materials in the designated areas to be later transferred to the Meru Waste Disposal Facility where scrap metal, tyres and green waste are recycled.

Scavenging is not permitted at the Mullewa Transfer Station.

Waste separation

The City promotes waste separation at the Mullewa Transfer Station to encourage the reuse of materials and reduce waste to landfill.

The following items are accepted:

• General waste
• Scrap metal
• Tyres
• Green waste
• Bulky items
• Asbestos - residential only (needs to be double wrapped and marked)

The following items are not accepted:

• Large Asbestos material
• Construction and demolition waste

Commercial loads are to be disposed of at the Meru Waste Disposal Facility located in Geraldton.
