Reminder to use ‘Reel It In’ bins

The City of Greater Geraldton is encouraging local fishers to use the yellow ‘Reel It In’ bins located in the Chapman River Estuary for the safe disposal of fishing tackle waste.

Safely disposing of fishing lines and hooks will reduce the amount of wildlife getting entangled in discarded fishing tackle which often leads to serious injuries or even the death of these animals.
