If you’ve got ideas and aspirations about the future of Greater Geraldton then you won’t want to miss the opportunity to help develop the City’s strategic plan to get there.

A major review of the City of Greater Geraldton’s Strategic Community Plan is underway, and the community is invited to take part in the ‘Your Voice Our Future’ conversations and have their say.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the conversations are about gathering ideas to shape the promising future of the City region.

“Greater Geraldton is on the cusp of some really big changes which are presenting huge opportunities for our community and also challenges that we will need to overcome,” he said.

“We need to ensure that the plan we develop to guide our decision making, reflects the wisdom of our community, their aspirations and their priorities for the future of the place we all call home.

“Over the coming weeks there will be many opportunities for residents to get involved and I encourage everyone to be a part of this huge community conversation.”

The Your Voice Our City project features a community survey followed up by a series of workshops and pop-up sessions at events and activities across Greater Geraldton in the coming weeks.

The survey is available online here. Paper copies are available at the Civic Centre, Geraldton Regional Library, Mullewa District Office and the QEII Centre. Everyone who takes the survey goes into the draw to win one of five $100 Buy Local gift cards. Survey closes at 4pm on Monday 16 December 2024.

Workshops, both in-person and online will be held on the following dates. For more details and to register to attend these sessions visit the City’s website here  or call 9956 6600.
