Local budding photographers will have the chance to have their work on display in the “Best Moments on Country” exhibition at the Museum of Geraldton as part of National Reconciliation Week 2025.
Following on from 2024’s successful display, this year the exhibition will follow the theme of “Best Moments on Country” and inspires the works to be unique, original and appealing.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune encourages people to get involved and submit their work.
“It’s great to see this exhibition returning for another year at the Museum of Geraldton. This exhibition is not only about the incredible photos, but also about celebrating the uniqueness and spirit of our region,” he said.
“I wish to thank the Museum of Geraldton for allowing us to display this exhibition and for their support that has made this “Best Moments on Country” exhibition possible.”
Museum of Geraldton Regional Manager Leigh O’Brien said this exhibition would be a great chance for local photographers to display their work in a professional setting.
“Geraldton’s landscape and its people are an endless source of inspiration and we are thrilled to give photographers a platform to share their personal perspectives through “Best Moments on Country,”” she said.
“The Museum of Geraldton is proud to host this exhibition and I am looking forward to seeing all of the chosen works on display here.”
In addition to prizes of up to $300 in the form of Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift cards for the winners, the Museum of Geraldton will host an exhibition from Friday 9 May 2025 to Monday 9 June 2025 that will showcase selected entries.
Photo entries must be submitted before 9am Friday 7 March 2025 via the City’s website.
