Paint
Empty paint can that are dry inside can be disposed to landfill at the Meru Waste Management Facility located on Landfill Lane.
Tins of acrylic (water based) or enamel (oil based) paints, to a household maximum of a 20L container, can be accepted as part of the Household Hazardous Waste program at the Meru Waste Disposal Facility.
Alternatively, tins of paint might be accepted at the Bowerbird for use on projects. Please liaise with the Bowerbird staff.
Tip: Try adding kitty litter or sand to absorb excess liquid left in the bottom of a paint tin and leave the lid off to speed up drying process.
