Australia Day 2019
Australia Day is right around the corner and its set to be another massive celebration at the Geraldton Foreshore complete with something for everyone! With activities happening right around the clock, Geraldton Foreshore-goers can enjoy beach yoga, surf lessons on land, bouncy castles, vintage car display, petting zoo, henna, face painting and loads more of other free activities.
Mullewa will celebrate all-things Australian at the swimming pool where members of the community can enjoy free entry, a barbecue breakfast, entertainment throughout the morning including giant yard games, slip ‘n’ slide, pool inflatables and live music.
At 8.30pm the sky will ignite with an epic fireworks show thanks to the generous support of Midwest Nissan.

Champion Bay Surf Lifesaving Club Open Water Challenge Swim
SLSWA Ocean Swim Series has various categories from junior, team or individual. Registrations can be done on the day between 7am and 8am or you can email your interest to champions@westnet.com.au.

Rotary Club of Geraldton Seniors' Afternoon Tea and Concert
Seniors of the Midwest are welcome to join the Rotary Club of Geraldton for a free afternoon tea and live performances by the Geraldton City Band and other local free entertainers.

Beach Yoga
Two different types of yoga will be taking place throughout the day! Come and try some casual, relaxing and fun beach yoga for free. Suitable for all levels and children are welcome. You can also catch a demo of SUP yoga afterwards!

Ultimate Water Sports
Ultimate Water Sports has the largest range of water sports activities in one place for your entertainment. The two person glass bottom kayaks and four person pedal boats are sure to be a hit as well as other activities including fly boarding, the jetpack jet-ski hire, guided tours, wakeboarding, water-skiing, wake foiling, knee boarding, tubing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Geraldton Yacht Club
Come down to the beach in front of the Geraldton Yacht Club to experience the joys of sailing. Eager sailors will be on hand with boats and safety equipment to ensure you enjoy the ride! Wear something that can get wet, bring along your towel, sunscreen, hat and most importantly a whole lot of enthusiams. Registrations open on the day.

Midwest Surf School
Improve your surfing while on land with Midwest Surf School. You'll be surfing barrels in no time.

Kids Beach Party
Join the Champion Bay Surf Lifesaving Club and Rotary Club of Geraldton for the annual Australia Day Kids Beach Party. Grab a free sausage sizzle and a slice of cake kindly created and donated by the Greenough Regional Prison. There will be races, slippery slides and bouncy castles galore!

Batavia Coast Veteran and Classic Vehicle Club Display
The Batavia Coast Veteran and Classic Vehicle Club will once again host the "Aussie Icons" car show on the Foreshore. They don't make em anymore so come along and see all your favourite Holdens, Falcons and Valiants from 1948 to 2017. If you have an "Aussie Icon" you would like to display, call Steve on 0455 456 812 to book your spot.

Midwest Nissan Fireworks Display
With a large fireworks display expected to fill our skies, you'll want to make sure you have front row seats on the Geraldton Foreshore for this enchanting spectacle. The Esplanade will be closed to the public from 12pm to allow for the setup.
