Local organisations, businesses and individuals are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for management of the City’s Reuse and Recycle Shop, better known as the Tip Shop.

The recently released EOI invites suitably experienced and resourced organisations, companies or individuals to show their interest in managing the facility located at Meru Landfill.

The EOI is for a 12 month contract with the option of a further one year extension.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said it would be a great opportunity for a local organisation.

“The Tip Shop has proved extremely popular with locals and this EOI provides an exciting opportunity for someone to take on management of the facility,” he said.

“If you’re interested, I’d encourage you jump online and check out the criteria.”

The EOI is specifically for management of the Tip Shop, and does not include facilitating the recycling of items such as cardboard or plastic.

Currently, the Tip Shop accepts items such as furniture, household electrical items, repairable whitegoods, tools, building materials, toys, crockery, bric-a-brac and other reusable household items.

The EOI has now closed. Final submissions must be received by 12pm Monday 21 September 2020.
