As the festive season draws near, Geraldton is getting ready to throw the most spectacular Christmas on the Terrace event to date!

Taking place Thursday 12 December from 5.00pm, Marine Terrace will transform into a summer wonderland of music, laughter and local delights, bringing the whole community together for a night of fun.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said this event is the perfect way to kick off the summer holidays.

“Christmas on the Terrace is one of the highlights of the year, and I’m thrilled to see the event return in 2024,” he said.

"This celebration is an opportunity for us to gather as a community, support our local businesses and spread some cheer. There’s no better way to kick off the festive season than by enjoying the sights, sounds and flavours of Geraldton's vibrant heart.

“From live music and food trucks to market stalls, this free event has everything you need to make your Christmas season sparkle.”

New activities for this year include archery and the Christmas boat and familiar favourites will be returning including pony rides, games, bouncy castle, stilt walkers – and, of course, a special visit from Santa! The event will also see a great line up of local musicians rocking out on three stages.

“Whether you're in the mood for shopping, carolling or simply soaking up the joyful atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Geraldton’s most anticipated Christmas celebration,” finished Mayor Clune.

There will be road closures and changes to parking to allow for set up of the event and safe access for pedestrians.
