Photography portraits will be the focus of the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery’s (GRAG) next exhibition with the National Photographic Portrait Prize launching this month.
The showcase captures the quirks, flaws or vulnerabilities of the subject and features a shortlisted piece from local artist Elliot Brown.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune looks forward to the launch.
“GRAG is hosting yet another powerful and thought-provoking exhibition and I encourage those interested in attending to secure their tickets to the opening night sooner rather later,” he said.
“The National Photographic Portrait Prize is a touring exhibition that we proudly display each year and it’s very exciting to have works from a local artist shortlisted.
“I wish everyone in the showcase the greatest of luck – but particularly Elliot who is doing us proud.”
GRAG will display the National Photographic Portrait Prize from Friday 29 November to Sunday 2 February 2025.
Free tickets to opening night can be secured by clicking here.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize 2023 is a National Portrait Gallery touring exhibition.
