If you would like to find out how to reduce your food waste going to landfill then you won’t want to miss the City’s Free Composting and Worm Farming Workshop.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune said the workshop will explain all you need to know about making your own fertiliser.

“The workshop will cover all the basics on how you can easily convert your food scraps and organic waste into free, nutrient rich fertiliser for your plants and garden,” he said.

“It will also provide all the essential information on different options for composting your organic waste, including a variety of compost systems and worm farms suitable for any household.

“I’d like to invite everyone to come along to this free workshop, co-hosted by Donut Waste and the City, on Saturday 14 December at 10am at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre.”

Numbers are limited so bookings are essential. Morning tea and donuts will be provided.
