THE DRY

Created by Harley Mann (Wakka Wakka) and embodied by the Circa Cairns Ensemble

A raw cry of joy and mischief from the vibrant circus company who calls the Far North home.

Circa Cairns returns with The Dry, the second work in a series of extradentary encounters between the body and country. (The Wet/The Dry)

Blending elite skill, cultural knowledge and a touch of sass, the Circa Cairns ensemble draws upon elements of the dry season to breathe life back into circus.

Inspired by this sun-soaked land scape, The Dry is a raw cry of joy and mischief from the vibrant people who call this parched land home.

Far North Queensland's, dry season brings an anticipation into the country that pulsates through its people.

Cheeky, chaotic, vibrant and cool

★★★★★ “If this First Nations-led contemporary circus ensemble can maintain the raw physicality displayed in this piece, it will be walking a sure path to success.”

We acknowledge that we are here as visitors, and accept the responsibility to respect and care for these lands and tread lightly.

 Always was. Always will be.
