Pedestrian Access Way Closure (Closed)

The City has received an application to close the pedestrian accessway located between Lot 17 (No. 6) and Lot 18 (No. 8) O’Connor Street, Bluff Point.

It is noted that the pedestrian accessway is not formally constructed and has been fenced off at the rear preventing pedestrian access. It appears to have been informally integrated with abutting Lot 17 and as such does not currently function as a pedestrian accessway. The purpose of the proposed closure is to amalgamate the pedestrian accessway with abutting Lot 17 to legitimise the existing ‘on ground’ situation.

Pursuant to Section 87 of the Land Administration Act (as amended), the City now seeks any comments in relation to the proposed closure.

A pedestrian accessway closure report has been prepared and is also available for inspection during office hours at the Geraldton Civic Centre, Cathedral Avenue, Geraldton 

Any submissions on this proposal should be made in writing and lodged with the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Greater Geraldton on or before 5.00pm Monday, 4^th January 2021.
