Residents encouraged to report potholes

Community members are being urged to report any potholes they encounter to help keep our streets safe while maintaining road quality.

City of Greater Geraldton CEO Ross McKim said repairing potholes saves resources and improves community safety.

“We have more than 820kms of sealed roads throughout the City region and with all the rain we’ve been having lately potholes can develop just about anywhere,” he said.

“It’s important to get these fixed as quickly as possible to prevent water getting under the pavement surface which can result in deeper damage and a bigger paving repair down the line.

“While fixing potholes is not a long-term solution, it does resolve the safety hazards they create for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.”

Members of the community can report potholes by either calling the City on 9956 6600, using the online form here: https://www.cgg.wa.gov.au/build-develop/infrastructure/report-a-pothole.aspx or using the Snap Send Solve app.
