City officers celebrated

City of Greater Geraldton officers Sheri Moulds and Katelyn Reece’s hard work and dedication were acknowledged on Friday night at separate awards ceremonies in Perth.

Sheri who has been working at the City of Greater Geraldton since 2007 in the role of Personal Assistant to the CEO received the Local Government Distinguished Officer Award as part of the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) 2024 Local Government Honours Program.

Beginning her tenure just 10 months ago as a Customer Experience Officer Katelyn accepted the Australian Contact Centre Association (Auscontact) Rising Star Award at the Auscontact National Excellence Awards.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune congratulated both officers.

“My warmest congratulations to Sheri and Katelyn on receiving such prestigious awards,” he said.

“Sheri has worked with four CEOs and three Mayors during her time at the City and is well known for going over and above the call of duty for both the organisation and the community.

“Katelyn has really hit the ground running at the City demonstrating the strengths and capabilities that indicate brilliant potential for career growth within the organisation and beyond.”

“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to both Sheri and Katelyn for their service and for making Geraldton a brighter place to be,” added Mayor Clune.
