Ever fancied yourself as an ‘eBiker’ but didn’t want to buy before you tried?

On Tuesday 21 May, seniors in Geraldton will be able to experience the enjoyment of riding an eBike at the Your Move Seniors Have a Go eBike event.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune is encouraging seniors to come and give it a go.

“eBikes have made bike riding much more accessible in recent years and with our fantastic weather, foreshores and cycle paths there is no better place than Geraldton to strap on a helmet and start peddling,” he said.

“I encourage all of our seniors who have ever harboured an interest getting on an eBike to head down and experience the joy and ease that comes with riding one.

“I would like to thank the Department of Transport and Revolutions Geraldton for their generous support in helping our seniors stay mobile and active.”

The Your Move Seniors Have a Go eBike event will take place on Tuesday 21 May between 9am- 12pm on the grassed area behind the Queen Elizabeth II Seniors and Community Centre. Activities will be facilitated under the experienced guidance of Paul Baldock, with bikes and helmets supplied by Revolutions Geraldton.

Your Move Seniors Have a Go eBike is part of the City’s active travel program, led by the City’s Active Travel Officer (ATO). The ATO role has been established through seed funding from the Department of Transport as part of its Western Australian Bicycle Network Grants Program
