Messy play, karaoke, free ice cream plus oodles more are some of the activities confirmed for this year’s All Ability Day, which takes place next month.
The fun-filled event is held in celebration of the International Day of People with Disability and is a real coming together said City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune.
“All Ability Day celebrates our entire community and what makes everyone wonderfully unique,” he said.
“There are lots of fun and inclusive activities planned for the afternoon with an animal experience, photo booth and pickle ball – just to name a few.
“We’re so proud to host this event and make it free for everyone to attend. It wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic sponsors who allow us to make All Ability Day bucketloads of fun.”
All Ability Day is taking place on Wednesday 20 November from 3.30pm – 6.30pm at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre and Queens Park.
It is a free event, made possible by funding from the State Government as part of International Day of People with Disability celebrations.
The City would like to thank All Star Therapies, ATLAS, Cape Burney Bushfire Brigade, Central Regional TAFE, Fusion Geraldton, Just Assure Support Coordination, My Way Disability Aged Care, Midwest Support Coordination, Midwest Community Living Association, Triple M, The Geraldton Project and Variety Midwest for their valued sponsorship.
More information about All Ability Day as well as a site map is available on the City’s website.
