About the position:

The City has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a motivated person with an interest in records management to join the ICT Services branch.

This position is offered as a full-time permanent position that will see the successful candidate support the daily operations of the City’s information management system. Guidance, support and training will be provided by our experienced and welcoming Information Management team.

Key accountabilities:

  • Assist in processing of incoming mail by scanning, coding, recording & actioning to officers while following "CGG Organisational Structure for IM Incoming Mail".
  • Offer TRIM assistance, share knowledge and support to encourage users to use the City EDRMS and show users how to submit ICT ticket for problems that might need investigating.
  • Assist Records System Administrator and Archivist with archive process for collection or retrieval of permanent archives from offsite location. Booking City vehicle for offsite retrieval if necessary & assisting with annual destruction process.
  • Creating new hard copy & electronic folders for property permanent folders using rates property system database for accurate data.
  • Maintain and support various types of hardware and software, ensuring high levels of availability and security

Position requirements:

Candidates should have a Certificate IV in Records Management and/or lesser qualification with entry level experience troubleshooting Information Management problems.  

All candidates must have the ability to learn and employ information management techniques, a developed knowledge of record keeping procedures, and a high level of interpersonal skills.  

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

The Information Management Officer position has a salary starting from $72,450 per annum or $36.6648 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
