Geraldton’s beachside food and beverage offering will level up once again after Council moved to approve two separate licenses for mobile food trailers at one of the community’s most cherished locations.

Local operators Sweet Olive Caravan and Café Zuma WA will set up their operations adjacent the corner of Adam Street and Chapman Road on the Beresford Foreshore following the unanimous Council decision.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune expressed his enthusiasm for the further activation of Beresford Foreshore.

“Beresford Foreshore is a local favourite and one of our city’s great draw cards with the renowned Horizon sculpture attracting multitudes of visitors for the must have Geraldton selfie,” he said.

“The area which will be occupied by the Sweet Olive Caravan and Café Zuma WA has been specifically designed for multi-use mobile commercial activities so it is brilliant the space will now be fully utilised as intended.

“I look forward to seeing the added vibrancy these two fantastic local businesses will bring to the northern end of our beloved Beresford Foreshore.”

Pending the outcome of the statutory minimum 14-day public comment period and required Ministerial approval, both businesses are planning to open as soon as possible.

Café Zuma WA will initially operate Monday – Thursday whilst Sweet Olive Caravan will be available on Fridays weather permitting.
