Geraldton’s beloved QEII Seniors and Community Centre was the recipient of a welcome donation recently with the arrival of a brand-new industrial fridge.
Freshly installed in the QEII Centre’s Upper Hall the new fridge was purchased through funds raised by the Geraldton Seniors Week Committee.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune expressed his gratitude and applauded the committee members for all their hard work.
“Every year the Geraldton Seniors Week Committee goes above and beyond to bring together a programme that is both engaging and fun for the diverse range of seniors who call Geraldton home,” he said.
“Following the success of last year’s Seniors Week the Committee have purchased a new industrial drinks fridge and donated it to the QEII Centre for all the members to use.
“I would like to commend the Seniors Week Committee for their ongoing efforts and on behalf of the City thank them for their generous donation to the QEII Centre.”
