About the position:

The City has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a motivated person with an interest in information technology to join the ICT Services branch.

This position is offered as a full-time fixed term contract until September 2025 that will see the successful candidate support the daily operations of the City’s information communication and technology environment. Guidance, support and training will be provided by our experienced and welcoming ICT Services branch.

A commencement date can be negotiated with the successful candidate to accommodate study commitments.

Key accountabilities:

  • Respond to enquiries from staff, service providers, site personnel and vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Provide support and maintain Windows Operating Systems and ensure alignment with best practices, standards and procedures
  • Provide support and maintain mobility devices (iOS) direct to end users and through device management application.
  • Maintain and support various types of hardware and software, ensuring high levels of availability and security

Position requirements:

Candidates should have a Certificate IV in Information Technology and/or lesser qualification with entry level experience.  

All candidates must have the ability to learn and employ change management techniques, ability to proactively initiate corrective action to resolve issues, and a high level of interpersonal skills.  

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

The Cadet ICT Officer position has a salary starting from $72,450 per annum or $36.6648 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
